What kind of food does Verde serve?

Modern Italian. Seasonal menu using vegetables from the family garden in Collaroy, NSW. The pork shank ragu braises for five hours. Handmade pasta. Southern Italian wine list.

Who owns Verde?

Antonio Ruggerino. He opened the Darlinghurst kitchen in 2007. The recipes come from his family in Calabria.

Does Verde have private dining?

Darlinghurst: the restaurant seats 44 (70 standing) plus 24 outdoor, and the Toto private room seats 22 (40 standing). Alexandria: the restaurant seats 100 (276 standing), the outdoor area seats 100 (150 standing), plus three private rooms for 20, 60 or 70 guests. Canapé and set-menu packages available. Functions seven days a week.

Do I need to book?

Book through SevenRooms or call us. Walk-ins welcome, but Friday and Saturday fill up.

Can I bring my own wine?

BYO at Darlinghurst Tuesday to Thursday. Corkage applies. Alexandria is full bar only.

What are your opening hours?

Darlinghurst: lunch Tuesday to Friday, dinner Wednesday to Saturday. Alexandria: caffè and restaurant Monday to Saturday. Functions seven days.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Tell us when you book. We’ll sort it.

Can I bring the kids?

Yes. Children are welcome at both venues. High chairs available on request.

Is there parking nearby?

Street parking at both venues. Museum station is a 10-minute walk from Darlinghurst.
