Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
Last updated: 26 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Verde Ristorante & Bar, operated by Verde Restaurant Pty Ltd (ABN 83 643 765 539) (“Verde”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our activities. This may include:
- Enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number and anything you include when you submit an event or contact enquiry.
- Booking details — information you provide when you make a reservation through our booking partner (such as dining preferences, dietary requirements, and special occasions).
- Website usage — technical and analytics information such as your device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed and how you interact with the site (see “Cookies and tracking” below).
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form, make a booking or contact us, and automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and manage event and dining bookings;
- To send you marketing communications, newsletters, and updates about Verde, where you have opted in to receive them (you can opt out or unsubscribe at any time);
- To operate, maintain and improve our website;
- To measure and improve our marketing, including the performance of our advertising — only where you have consented to analytics and advertising cookies;
- To comply with our legal obligations.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies needed for the website and its forms to work.
- Analytics and advertising cookies — including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — which help us understand website traffic and measure the performance of our advertising. These are only set after you accept them on the cookie banner shown when you first visit.
You can decline at any time by choosing “Decline” on the cookie banner, or by clearing cookies and adjusting your browser settings. Declining does not affect your ability to use the website or to make an enquiry or booking.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed, including:
- our website hosting and form provider;
- SevenRooms (our reservations and booking partner) — who securely processes and manages restaurant reservations, table seating, and guest profiles on our behalf;
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — where you have accepted advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel shares website activity with Meta so we can measure and target our advertising. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for how Meta handles this data;
- an automated spam-detection service used to screen form submissions.
We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers (including SevenRooms, Meta, and our website host) store or process information on servers located outside Australia, primarily in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information we hold.
Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Making a complaint
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
